What is All the Hype About?

Callen was pretty oblivious to the whole baby thing.  He didn't understand why my tummy get getting bigger and why there wasn't room for him to sit on my lap while reading stories.  He didn't get it why Mommy didn't get up from the couch much but he liked to snuggle there.  He didn't really understand why he was going to Abbi and Abba's to spend the night while Mom and Dad went to the hospital but he was still excited to go.  I'm sure considering all of this confusion he was pretty confused when we brought home this little tiny bundle that cries and poops.  We optimistically thought that he would be excited to have a new baby brother and that he would think that it would be fun to hold him.  We were pretty surprised when he wanted NOTHING to do with his new brother.  He wouldn't even come look at him or hold him.  We all tried to show him Kaleb's little baby feet and cute little face in the hopes of enticing him over to our side of baby loveville.  He kept looking at us like we were crazy as if to say "what is all the hype about" and would show us his car collection that was obviously more exciting than a new baby.  It was about 4 days after we brought him home that Mary came over and very successfully got Callen to hold Kaleb.  We thought it was a miracle.  You can see the progression on how he feels in the pictures below.  I know a new baby may be something new to get used to but I can also fast forward a few years and see these boys playing together constantly and laughing about how unprepared Callen was but how much he loves baby Kaleb now.
Do I really have to hold him?  I do have cars to organize.....
What in the heck is he doing?  Why does he keep waving his arms around and grunting?
How much longer do I need to do this?
OK, maybe this is a little fun...

I might be able to get used to this.
Proud big brother
