Six

Six Truths of Life

1. You cannot touch all your top teeth with your tongue.

2. All idiots, after reading the first truth, will try it.

3. And discover that the first truth is a lie and feel superior because they can do it.

4. You're smiling now because you're an idiot.

5. You soon will forward this to another idiot.
6. There's still a stupid smile on your face.
I apologize about this.
I'm an idiot and I needed company ...
And I know you have a sense of humor and some teeth.

Speaking of the number 6 - and this is NOT a hoax.  Come September we will now have a total of 6 children in our family.  I get a lot of funny stares as I walk around with 5 kids and a belly.  I had a cute elderly couple stop me at Costco when I just had Callen.  They asked me if I was having number 2.  I laughed and said actually it is number 6.  They were very shocked and surprised.  The older gentleman told me he used to be a psychiatrist and jokingly asked if I needed to come sit on his couch.  At least I hope he is joking!  He then asked me if I was Catholic and when I told him I was Mormon he told me he LOVES Mormons.  He told me he used to visit Salt Lake City all the time and he would always tell his wife that Utah had the prettiest girls he had ever seen - lucky Utah girls!  His wife piped in and nodded saying "it's true, he used to tell me that all the time."  It ended up being a good conversation.  While we may be crazy to have 6 at least we add entertainment value to the masses!

This pregnancy has been very different from the others.  First of all I have been sick.  Sick from morning until evening.  Never throwing up but wishing I could just to make the feeling go away.  Then I can't sleep at night.  I wake up every morning at around 3:30 and can't go back to sleep.  I have gotten some great books read in the middle of the night but I would much rather have sleep.  Callen thinks he has a baby in his tummy too and keeps telling the ladies at the gym about this amazing phenomenon.  We are thrilled beyond words to be having one more baby while at the same time in some form of La-La land as to how tricky 6 kids can be.  At the same time now the kids think it would be fun to have 12.  I told them we may have to get goldfish.  6 sounds just perfect to me.

YAY! I'm the first to comment... and I love your announcement. Let me know as soon as you find out what flavor baby you're getting! And I hope you feel better and get some sleep soon. (As for finding out early, they are monitoring me because I'm "high risk" and they did a 15 week ultrasound. No boy parts so... yay!)

I am so happy for you. I love the comments people give me. Six has been an adjustment, but I think it is because of the teenager baby mix. At least you have one more year before seminary. You are a beautiful mother, and will handle it beautifully!

That is wonderful! I'm so excited for you! And I am having the same kind of sickness as you... not a lot of barfing, but just sick ALL DAY LONG. I'd almost rather just barf and get it over with, as terrible as that sounds haha. Six kids will be wonderful for you guys, your kids are all so beautiful! Love you!
