I have a little secret to admit. I LOVE Disneyland! I mean I love it so much that I still occasionally tear up when I see a Disney Parade especially if I see it on Main Street. It seems like every part of Disneyland holds a special memory whether from childhood or from taking my own kids. Although it always involves stresses to get me there it is one place I could never get sick of. Having said that I had NO idea that Travis didn't like Disneyland. He forgot to mention that critical detail when we were dating. I mean that is one of the questions that are monumental. Right up there with how many kids do you want to have, how do you feel about me being a stay at home Mom and do you LOVE Disneyland. How could I forget to ask him that question? My secret mission is to instill some of the Disney Magic into his heart and hopefully someday he will want to go there as much as I do. Having said that ANY time I can get him to go to Disneyland I jump all over that. On his birthday I gently reminded him that it was FREE to go on his birthday. Then I also gently reminded him what geniuses the Disney people are at marketing. I told him to look at it as an investment in marketing. I have been known to get him to watch Oprah with me using the same line....

We packed up on his birthday and drove up to the happiest place on earth. We got a super cheap hotel at "the nicest hotel" my kids have ever stayed at. I love easy to please kids! Then we went to Disney to get Trav's free pass for his birthday. We went on a few rides and took a ton of pictures then went back to the hotel to rest up for a FULL Disney day the next day. The next day was a blast. Little Lexie was such a trooper going on all of the big scary rides with all the big kids. She was super tough the whole time but would gently pull my arm and ask when we are going to go on the Princess Rides. We took a little break and went to the land of the princesses.

Lexie was sitting right next to me - you just can't see her in the picture.

We got the yummy and expensive Dole Whips.  We realized that they make them
really tall but really hollow.....

Splash Mountain

This was Lexie's favorite part of the day

I forgot how bumpy the Materhorn is.  We have to ride it for traditions sake but it isn't the most comfortable ride at Disneyland.

Natalie hams it up wherever we go

Lexie was SO happy to see Mini!

Cruella DeVille kind of scared the kids.  She kept asking if we would bring our dog to her next time we came to Disneyland.....Lexie wanted me to promise that we wouldn't bring Molly next time.

Lexie and I waited for the big kids when they went on the SUPER scary ride.

We went to the Disney Store to try and get some CARS for Callen.  First of all the store was huge and second of all everything in there must be gold plated because it is priced like it is.

I LOVE Disneyland!! And I totally know what you mean--the last time we went to Disneyland (last year) I cried when the princesses passed by in the parade. I'm 22 years old and still tear up over the Disney princesses!!! Pathetic I tell you!
