We have this really amazing art teacher that comes to our house once a week to teach 3 different art classes to the kids. She has an older girls class, a younger class and a boys class. The kids love it. In the summers Ms. Kara does an art camp. The kids come every day and each day they get a passport and they travel to a different country. Kara brings in all sorts of props and lessons about the country they are visiting. Then they draw something from that country. Each day they do a different type of art, drawing, painting, sketching, use model magic clay etc. Then at the end of the class they get a stamp for their passports. This year she even bought props each day for the kids to dress up like the people of the country they were visiting. I am amazed as I sit back and see what they make. My kids obviously got all their artistic talents from me since I can draw one mean stick figure. If you ask me to do any more than that then I may claim that I don't want to tire my incredibly artistic fingers. Or I might just admit that I cannot even draw a decent stick figure. Luckily my kids have Ms. Kara to help them progress beyond the stick figure. Too bad I didn't have a
Ms. Kara when I was younger.
