We squeezed in a beach sleepover in La Jolla right before school started again. It was awesome to stay in a place overlooking the ocean. Hearing the waves crash at night was one of the best sounds I have ever heard. The only drawback was it was pretty overcast and cold - go figure since it is now 100 degrees and no beach in my backyard last time I checked. Even if the weather wasn't great to boogie board it was perfect for a morning run. Every time I go on a run I am reminded of how much I LOVE to run and I the feeling I get when I run. Although I have to say a killer playlist on my iphone does help any run feel even better. Add my favorite play list and a beautiful run on the beach and that is my definition of a perfect run. I ran all along La Jolla Shores and even found some fun trails. I ran past a surf class, a lifeguard class and tons of tourists. I also ran behind the cutest old couple that were holding hands and shuffling along. If I was brave enough I would have stopped and taken their picture but I was afraid they would take me for a crazy stalker in gym clothes. Instead I took pictures of the views on different parts of my run. It was one morning that I will remember for quite a while. I am so glad that God created the most beautiful planet. It just takes mornings like this to remind me how lucky I am to witness it.

I absolutely love beach camping-I do some of my best sleeping to the sound of the waves crashing...aahhh. What I can't identify with is the love of running-sure wish I did love to run..but...I hate it! Oh well :)
