This summer it seemed like we had a late start. The typical San Diego June Gloom stayed with us almost the whole month. Normally it is overcast and foggy in the morning and burns off by late morning but this year it stayed all day and all month. Summer seemed to start late June when it was actually warm enough to go swimming and break out the sunscreen. The girls got a little excited with the sunscreen and were being VERY careful about protecting themselves from the rays. They looked so funny I couldn't stop laughing long enough to take a good picture. Every time I tried to take a picture I would just laugh. Then when the girls got a good look at themselves they tried to rub it in a little more. What they soon discovered is that sunscreen wasn't going anywhere. It was going to stay white no matter what they did. They ended up swimming around like 4 little Caspar the Ghosts. It was some great comic relief and a great way to start our official summer vacation. After all it isn't summer in my
books unless it is warm!
