PUMPKIN PATCH
If I kept a journal I would always know when I had a pre-schooler because every year I have had one we have hit the pumpkin patch. Although in retrospect I can't think of any years where I haven't had a pre-schooler.....I think I will have one for the next 8 years or so, so this field trip should seem pretty familiar by the end. This year was extra special because we got to go with cousins which we have never done before. It is really fun to see cousins all of the time. Plus we have Chandler and it makes it a perfect threesome when they are all well rested, happy and fed. To sum it up we definitely do have the 3's a crowd moment and I will give Lexie 95% of the credit of those energy charged moments. (Was that a nice way to put it?) We had a great tour guide who was pumpkined out from head to toe and made it fun for the kids. As we melted while walking through the maze and kicked up dust in the pumpkin field we managed to get some really cute pictures. Lexie found a great pumpkin and even helped me with Callen. The girls were really cooperative. The babies were a little less happy to be there but they made it through. At the end we had a snack of goldfish and water. What is it about goldfish that make them seem like a delicacy after a long day? Is it the sugar, the salt, the preservatives? Who knows but all I know is that they rounded out the day and made it perfect. This is San Diego in October, 90 degrees at the pumpkin patch. I love it!
