LEXIE'S FIRST DAY

Lexie just started her first day at Pre-School.  It's perfect because she gets to go with her cousin and her friend so it made the transition much easier.  The first day went perfectly and then on the second day when Laurie went to pick the girls up the teacher (a former police officer) approached her with huge eyes and said "we had a really tough day today".  Needless to say all of us carpool mom's approach every pick-up with major trepidation.  I cross my fingers that that day was actually a good day.  The three girls (with Lexie as the ring leader) are making fighting an art form.   We are trying everything to motivate them to be nice and to be nice to the other kids.  Hopefully Lexie learns how to play nice.  I'm trying the whole Supernanny approach and hopefully it sinks in.  Who would have ever guessed that such a cutie had it in her!   One minute she is having a tantrum moment and the next she is asking me if she can tell me a secret - my favorite is when she whispers in my ear "I love you to Heavenly Father, the stars, the moon and back again."  How can that not melt your heart and make your forget when she tells you that she wants to live in Mia's family?  The Lexie saga will continue and I am sure have it's ups and downs but she always keeps us on our toes.

Rach, Thanks for the updates on the kids and the beautiful photos. I think your family is so beautiful and so TALL (where'd they get that?). They tower over their friends. OKAY, can that little Lexie be any cuter? What a little spitfire. I love it. BTW, I got teary for you with your Taylor and middle school. What a huge milestone for you as a mother. Best wishes for a wonderful school year!
