KADEN'S FIRST DAY OF 4th GRADE

Yes it is cliche but I can't believe that Kaden is in 4th grade.  I think every year it is a reality check that as hard as I try to keep my kids little they are growing like weeds (literally) before my very eyes.  This year Kaden is into anything basketball.  His clothes, posters and collector cards are all basketball.  Ask his stats and he will spout them off.  It's pretty fun to see how passionate he is.  He was pretty pumped to bring his basketball to school his first day.  He brings it every day!  He really likes his new teacher and was pretty excited to see a few friends in his class.  He is the oldest out of the group that carpools together so he feels pretty important being the leader.   I pack him a snack every day but he never eats it because all he wants to do is get to recess to play basketball with his friends.  Tonight he asked Trav if he would be his agent when he was in the NBA someday.  He also keeps asking me leading questions - I think to question my loyalty.  He asks  mom what if I was playing for the Celtics and my game was at 12:30pm - would you come?  Or he asks if I would go if I had to miss something important that I wanted to go to.  Of course I tell him that I would crawl over nails to get there and he gets that cute little smile of his.  He also tells me that when he is in the NBA he will not get tattoos like some of the other players and he will set a good example.  It's pretty cute.  WE are trying to tell him that he needs to practice, practice, practice.  If he ever has time to watch TV he is watching the NBA channel - even WNBA.  As long as it is basketball he is good with it.  I can tell it is going to be a fun year~
