It's a big day of firsts! Tanner's first day of first grade! He got the same teacher that his cousins had last year so he was pretty excited because they told him how nice she was. I was also warned about her sparkling cleavage - and yes it does sparkle on special occasions. So far Tanner hasn't mentioned it yet so that is a good thing! Despite the shiny cleavage she is a very good teacher and makes learning very fun~ Tanner was so excited because one of his best buddies Kyle see below) is in his class. He was trying not to act too excited but he couldn't help it. He gets right home every day and does his homework and he has gotten to be such a good reader. It is so fun to see them excited about homework - I hope I can get that to last for at least another year! He was so excited to be able to buy lunch and bring a backpack to school. He kept trying last year but kindergartners weren't' supposed to. He gets up at 6:30 with the other kids and gets all his jobs done by 7:20 in time for scriptures. It is so cute when he comes in to wake me up at 7 with his hair all spiky and he comes in all excited because all his jobs are done. He is such a cutie! He really never gives me any trouble and if he does get into trouble he apologizes really quickly. It is one of his best traits how much he wants to please. The best is to see his face light up and he smiles his cute grin with his 2 front teeth missing. It is priceless. It is funny that he has been my smiliest baby and the smiles haven't' slowed down!
