Wiener Roast

Yes, it is called a "wiener roast".  My kids laughed every time Grandma would ask them if they wanted a wiener.  No matter what it is called it was fun.  Grandpa has an old tractor tire that he bought at an auction and he and Scott started an awesome fire that kept us warm and roasted our food.  Luckily Shawn and Erynn had some mosquito tiki's they put up so we didn't get eaten alive.  I can't believe how bad the mosquito's were up there.  The food and company outside made it worth it to sit outside on a beautiful night where it didn't get dark until 11pm.

At last count Kaden ate 4 hot dogs and a few smores.  Did I mention that he is only 11?  What will his appetite be like at 15?  Scary thought!

Callen is into making funny faces at any given moment.  I think he thinks that is what he is supposed to do instead of smile.

Grandma and Erynn

Forrest loved hanging out with Uncle Shawn

Elle loved hanging out with Uncle D.

We loved spending time with Grandma and Grandpa.  Grandma always put on a good spread for us.  We felt like we were at a bed and breakfast every day. They took really good care of us.  We were so sad when we had to leave and Lexie and Tanner even cried on the way out the driveway.

The girls

Shawn and Erynn got these great camping chairs that we called "La Z Boy" camping chairs.  I think Grandma was surprised that it leaned back as far as it did.

Grandpa Tim needs to win a Grandpa Award.  We love visiting them and love it when they come to visit us.  We just wish we could see them more often.  We did have to get used to Grandpa not having his mustache.  Lexie says it doesn't tickle anymore when Grandpa gives her a kiss.  He is one amazing man!  We are lucky to have him as a Grandpa.
