A Cheap Day At Legoland

I thought field trips were supposed to be educational but I am not going to complain when we get to go to Legoland for a super cheap price.  I also won't complain when I have free passes for the other kids.  The whole day ended was $30 for us all to get in.  Legoland is VERY pricey so it was a great deal!
Plus we even got Jessica to come and meet us.  She lives just down the road and she came to spend the day with us.  It was fun to spend the day with her and have her help on the rides.
Legoland has these ridiculous rules with the rides.  You have to be over 18 to take anyone with you on most of the rides and they won't let me go with Callen and Lexie.  They are more strict than Disneyland.  I had to go on this airplane over and over again with Callen because he loved it and they wouldn't let him go with his brothers.  I finally convinced them that it was safer to let Callen go with his brothers than his pregnant mother.  Go figure!
Callen LOVES being with his brothers.  It is so fun to watch him
follow everything they do (good and bad)
We got to spend the day with some friends from Lexie's
kindergarten and art class.  That made it even more fun.
Paula was brave and took the kids on the kiddie "freefall".  I didn't
think baby#6 would appreciate the tickle tummy feeling coming down.
One of my favorite things about Legoland are all of the things made out of
Legos.  Jake and I grew up playing Legos and I have to admit I still love them!
The boys loved the dragon roller coaster.  It was just an added bonus that it was green
Callen threw a mini fit when he had to get off the horses.  He loved that ride.
We were so excited when the Hurst's came to join us for a couple of hours.  Anytime we can get the boys together they have fun.  It is fun to see them being awkward for a little bit at the beginning then they just jump right back into being buddies.
You have to be over 6 to drive the cars so Callen just had to pretend.  I sent Lexie on the ride not knowing you had to be 6.  When she got to the front of the line with the boys the worker asked her how old she was and she said 5.  He told her she couldn't go.  She also couldn't go with her brothers.  She ran to me crying and was so distraught.  I tried to talk to the guy and show him that she was tall enough and only 6 weeks away from being 6.  It was a no go.  I swear Legolands rules drive me nuts!
The boys now think they are ready to get their licences......HA!
The boys
My favorite part is miniature land.  I could spend hours there looking at all of the details.  They had a mini Manhattan, Vegas, New Orleans, Sydney Australia, Washington and much much more.  We had to breeze through there to get home for art but I could have been there all day.
Washington was my favorite place to see.  I don't know that it creates the
sense of awe that the real D.C. would but it was still pretty amazing.

Ok SO sorry I'm a blog stalker...I'm Melanie and Brandon's sis in law. We are headed down there end of August for Ty's blessing and I just said to my husband TODAY crazy as that is about going to Legoland with our boys. They are 4 1/2 and 2 1/2 and I don't know if it would be worth it or if it would be expensive. I thought you might have more insight than Brandon! Our blog is private so I don't know how to communicate but my email is sgoodsell2@yahoo.com if you don't mind letting me know. Thanks SO much and sorry about the stalking! I tell Brandon ALL the time that your family is the "Perfect" family!
