Soar with the Eagles

Josh makes us proud on a daily basis but we were exceptionally proud to see him receive the honor of Eagle.   We already think that he is unique and special but getting his Eagle really sets him apart.  Only 6% of scouts end up getting their Eagle.  Here are some statistics from the scouting program.

* Of senior class presidents, 89% were Scouts.
* Of junior class presidents, 80% were Scouts. 

* Of business managers of school publications, 75% were Scouts. 

* Of student council presidents, 85% were Scouts. 

* Of school newspaper editors, 88% were Scouts. 

* Of editors of school annuals, 77% were Scouts.                                                            

* Of basketball captains, 64% were Scouts.

* 64% of Air Force Academy graduates.
* 58% of West Point graduates.
* 70% of Annapolis graduates.
* 72% of Rhodes scholars.
* 85% of FBI agents.
* 26% of the 29 U.S. astronauts.

Josh gathered first aid kits for a childrens village and gathered sewing bags for orphaned teenage girls in Africa so they could have an occupation to help take care of their families and keep them off the streets.

Our family looks so small because we were missing Jake, Kristin and Trevor.   Even thought Josh got the award my Mom and Dad need a lot of credit for helping him along the road.

We loved celebrating this special day with Josh.

Jacob, Trevor and Josh have all gotten their Eagle.  They have set the bar high for their nephews to follow in their footsteps.  It makes me feel so good to have such good role models for my boys.

We loved having Noni and Papa with us.  We will take them with us anytime!
