Tanner's 8th Birthday

Happy Birthday Tanner!  Today is a BIG day!  He is turning 8 years old.  This is the year that he gets baptized.  He is so excited and we are so excited to be a part of this special time in his life.

We started the day off with the traditional birthday breakfast.  Tanner's favorite part is when he gets to put on as much whip cream on as he wants.  Luckily the Costco whip cream comes in packs of 3 so on their birthday they get to go hog wild.
 

Tanner was dying to open his presents.  It's like they were calling his name and might spontaneously combust if we didn't open them immediately.  At least that was the sense of urgency he was displaying.   It may have been that he asked Abbi and Abba for a used ipod touch that they had gotten free when they bought their computer.  It probably wasn't the little Lego set we got him that was making him do the happy dance. 

Tanner is one in a million but here are a few reasons why we think he is so special:

*his smile

*his freckles

*his energy

*his Chia-Pet hair

*how much he likes hugs

*how he finds a way to have fun in any situation

*how he is always quick to apologize when he does something wrong

*how much he loves his big brother

*how eager he is to please his Mom and Dad

*his zest for life

*his laugh

*what a good worker he is

*How much he wants to choose the right

*How excited he is to be baptized

*How he gets and idea in his head and is persistent to get or do whatever that idea is - his tenacity

*what a good big brother he is

*how he has learned to box out for rebounds better than his older siblings

*how he beams every time he gets praise

*What a ray of light he is in our family

*How we are the luckiest family in the world to have him in our family
