Pinewood

This is serious business every year for boys around the country.  Every year boys get to invent, create and design their dream cars.  If it were up to most of them they would be making a Lotus, Porsche or a Ferarri.  Unfortunately those cars may be faster in real life but don't go quite fast enough for the Pinewood Derby.  Kaden decided to make a different type of car this year in honor of the Winter Olympics.  He made a luger car.  He won an award for most creative design and won a few races but never made it to the finals.  I wish I could say better luck next year but this was his last year.  Now Kaden can impart his immense Pinewood Derby wisdom to his younger brothers when it is their turn.

It literally shocks me to see how big he is getting.  I know I am going to blink and he will be going on a mission.  I have to make the most of every minute I have with this very sweet boy.  He really wanted to win each and every race and he did win a few.  Every race he won I would breathe a little easier.  Plus each boy gets equal turns and a good chance to have their cars to their best.  We have some amazing scout leaders that make everything run smoothly.  Kaden is lucky enough to have his cousin Craig as a scout leader which makes it really fun for him.

Kaden and Nick - Nick went green for the Celtics this year and made it to the finals.  It must have been the colors.  If only the real Celtics could make it to the finals....we are keeping our fingers crossed!
