Taylor and I were working on SAT Vocab words today and we came across famine. I was trying to describe it and put it into a sentence she would remember and I brought up Ethiopia. Then I started telling her about We Are The World. Thank goodness for YouTube. I brought it right up and brought her back to my 9 year old self. As I watched it (and cried - yes it's true!) it made me wonder if they will gather enough talent today and do the same sort of thing for Haiti. Think how great that would be? We are the world has raised over $63 million dollars and that was WAY before itunes. The only celebrities I could name were Michael Jackson, Cyndi Lauper, Kenny Loggins, Willy Nelson, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Huey Lewis, Lionel Richie, Tina Turner, Billy Joel, Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen and Diana Ross. I know there were some more famous people but I didn't know their names....anyone else know anymore?

I know the tears were really coming from the fact that you miss Michael Jackson. Me too. Do you know that the night before the recording they had no song, and MJ and Lionel Richie whipped it up.
