O Canada

Trav had a surprise weekend all planned for a family visit.  Sometimes we Americans are a bit ignorant as to other countries holidays.  One of the things I learned when I first started dating Trav was that in fact Canada does NOT have a Queen, they have roads and don't need to drop the cars at the border and hop on dog sleds. He actually tried to convince me that was the only way to get to his small town.  I will admit that I am gullible but not THAT gullible.  That they do not in fact have optional stop signs and that they DO have Thanksgiving it is just on a different date and for a different reason than our Thanksgiving.  Since we have been married we haven't been able to go to Canadian Thanksgiving so it was a special treat for Trav to go up to visit family.  I just wish we all could have gone.  He only told his brother Scott and his wife Maurita that he was coming and figured out a way to surprise everyone else.  Scott and Mo picked him up from the Calgary airport and shuttled him right over to his sister Erynn's house.  Needless to say that is one reunion that I wished I could have been a part of.  Then he called his parents from Erynn's house and surprised them too.  We were all so glad he got to be with his family but we missed him so much and wished we could all be there.
Canada is so beautiful and this video is just on example of all of the natural
wonders surrounding them every day.
Only 2 more months until we all get to go up for July 1st Canada Day.  We can't wait!
