Lexie's 5th birthday party was a blast! Normally I wouldn't say that about a party full of 5 year olds but this one basically ran itself. Alexis really wanted to do a Build a Bear party but cheapskate that I am I balked at the price of a Build a Bear Party. Then I decided to go and ask my best friend aka "google". After calling multiple companies, making a lot of e-mail inquiries thoroughly researching bear parties A-Z on ebay I found a great site where you can customize your party for a very reasonable price. Each child picks their animal friend and they are shipped to you. All you have to do is buy the stuffing. The girls and I made some cute flower clips and headbands for each of the animals, printed out some coloring pages and had a great party. We did it at the park, let the kids run around and play then stuff their special friend and have fun! Basically it was my kind of party - good friends, lots of laughter, totally simple and topped off with sugar (cupcakes) at the end.
All Lexie's little buddies came. It was so fun to see what "special friend" each girl hand picked.
Alexis has such an expressive face. It is so fun to watch the range of emotions play on her face.
She had SO much fun opening her presents. Luckily we had this party since none of the kids got presents from us this year due to their very large gift of our beloved (cough) puppy Molly.
Alexis picked an elephant. Once she saw the pink poodle she had second thoughts about the elephant but we decided that we may have to do this party again next year!

Thank you! You should see her when she throws a tantrum!
I can't believe how grown up Lexie is. She reminds me of what Kaden looked like when you lived here!
Jenna had such a blast at that party, and her precious poodle is still one of her favorite treasures!
What a cute party idea.
I wanted to thank you for the HCG tip -- been on it for 4 days now and it seems to be working. Cross your fingers!
That Lexie is such a QT! Hey, how did you do that cool video montage of all the birthday pix? It was fabulous. I love the way it looked like scrapbook pages. My way to scrapbook since it ain't at all my "thang"!
Lori - I do the movies on my mac on imovie. It is super easy and so fun! There are a bunch of different templates to choose from. Do you have a mac?
