Not that I know how to use it but I love it!
Summer has officially cranked up the heat. We turned our air on for the first time mid-July which is one of the many benefits of living in San Diego. However now each and every day needs to involve some sort of water now that we are scorching...OK so I know we aren't scorching compared to Utah and Arizona but for us wimpy San Diegans 90 is scorching! Every day we have to find a watering hole for the natives and of course they need variety. Luckily we are close enough to a lot of great watering holes but one of the kids favorites is still the splash park. There is a huge park right next to the splash park and I happily said yes when the kids asked if they could go. I pictured a couple of hours of some great reading time while the kids ran all of their energy out. I think I forgot that Callen is is a regular Evil Knievel and this park has a huge 3 story slide. Callen would climb right up and stand at the top of the slide while I jumped around like a Mexican jumping bean yelling at him to sit down. He would laugh at me and then go down the slide and of course go right up the ladder again. The pipe dream of 2 hours of reading time quickly went down the drain and I instead acted as an off duty firefighter at the bottom of the slide ready to catch Callen in case he fell. I guess I will have to add firefighter to my repertoire as a mother. Who knew I needed that training too!
