Every night seems to be eventful at our house but some night are more so than others. This was one of those nights. Tanner came in jumping up and down because he had pulled his tooth out. This said tooth had been hanging in there for at least a month. I am still curious as to how he ate with it dangling there but somehow he managed it. After the 7 year old adrenaline rush that came with the loss of the infamous tooth he got it into his head to wiggle the tooth on the other side that was barely loose. The practical (and cheap) mother that I am I encouraged him to go to bed and wiggle his tooth in the morning. That way the tooth fairy could come back 2 nights in a row and make it extra special. Who knows, maybe she only had exact change in her fairy bag and wouldn't have enough for 2 teeth. Since my sage wisdom was completely ignored and Travis kept encouraging him to wiggle away we ended up with 2 teeth in a matter of minutes. There is nothing that a 7 year old can't accomplish with persistence and a cheering squad. Luckily the tooth fairy came with a full bag of dollars and quarters and Tanner got four whole dollars! That is a pretty fat payday for the tooth fairy so it must be special to get a 2 for one. The lesson I learned is that I should always have change and dollar bills on hand like the tooth fairy in case of emergencies.....
