This summer my little sister Jessica went to Africa - Uganda to be specific. She and her team are helping build a self-sufficient community there. One of the main things they do is to help empower the women there so they can take care of their families. Jess met with the woman to learn how best to help them. One thing they have been working on is making beads to sell here in America. They are beautiful and original. The women can make these beads with their children surrounding them and still be close to their families while helping to support them. The best part is by buying something cute you will wear or give as a gift you are helping a family across the world. I call that a win win.
