Taylor and Callen started school a week after the other kids. It was kind of nice to have 3 on one day and 2 on another so it wasn't totally crazy the first day. Today I only had to get 2 kids ready and Callen's hair makes that a piece of cake. Thank heavens for buzz cuts! Callen was so excited for the first day mostly because his cousin Nate was going to be there but also because there is a fun park at his school. He only goes once a week because he isn't potty trained yet but that is a good first step for me and for him. Although he wants to be with Nate every waking minute of the day. He needs a constant playmate. Too bad the coming baby won't be fun for him for a while. Taylor was excited to wear her new clothes and see her friends again. She is going to have a busy year but I think keeping teenagers with a slight attitude forming busy may be the best thing possible for the next few years. The amazing thing about Taylor is she is a self starter and I don't have to hound her. I just figured out she has to do it her way instead of mine. I guess this is just one of the many ways a Mom learns to let go little by little and let them make their own choices. Not that it is easy! Taylor just has a take charge personality and I will just sit back and watch her work!
