Still Pregnant.....

A few weeks ago I was put on bed rest and had a ton of tests done on my and my very pregnant belly.  After sitting on my tush for 2 weeks and contracting daily I was going a little stir crazy.  I so fully sympathize with anyone who has to go on bed rest and I will be the first to admit that I was not a very good patient.  After a while when nothing was happening I decided that I needed to get up and do some laundry, clean the house, go school shopping, go to the beach, out to dinner etc.  I felt enormously guilty but the funny thing is after getting up - the contractions mostly stopped.  The more I moved the more they lessened.  I am NOT advocating getting up if you are on bed rest but my body decided that it wasn't ready to let my baby boy come into the world quite yet.  I am 36 weeks and I am now trying to make the most of the last couple of weeks with my baby boy safely ensconced in my ever expanding belly.  We are enjoying the last few weeks of summer and trying to fill my kids "fun" canteens as full as they can get because after the baby comes there may be a dry spell of fun around our house for a while.  We will have joy, a miracle, perfect little baby feet, a precious little boy sent straight from heaven and hopefully that will be enough to help the kids be patient while their Mom returns to the land of the living.  For now we will cherish each day with 7 in our family and count the days until that number becomes 8.
Lexie and Mia were having the time of their lives
Miles was very excited with the seaweed.  If only I was excited with it as he was....
The boys were in 7th heaven with the little inlet of water.  It was the perfect depth for them to play in and not be scared at all.  It was so much fun to sit back and watch them find joy in all the little amazing things at the beach.
Stephanie was so great with the little kids.  She helped them dig a giant hole to jump in and out of.
I can't believe how grown up these girls are getting!
Callen was NOT happy when it was time to leave.  He had so much fun for the first time at the beach this summer.  Every other time he has been afraid of the water but now he loved every minute of our day at the beach.
The boys.  For some reason they can't handle not playing together every single day.  When I tell them our plans the next day they always ask if Nick and Dalton will be there.  They are all ages and different personalities but they act like brothers - fighting included.  It is so fun to watch them all interact together and make the most out of every day.
