BYU Cougars

Trav's cousin is playing BYU football in the fall.  He was playing in Canada before his mission and was the top freshman player in Canada but now he is taking his talents to BYU.  Before the season started he got a small little break and wanted to come and hang out in California.  We were so excited to have him and a bunch of his buddies from the team come too.  The kids had so much fun with all these big boys to play with and Lexie loved the one girl (Rachel) who treated Lexie like a princess.  All the guys were return missionaries and such good guys.  They were great examples to my kids and were so good with them.  They played with the kids, they always helped clean up, they were respectful and a blast to have around.  We told them they would always have a place to stay when they were in the area.  The only bummer is that the weather wasn't that great.  We had a couple of good days but I wish it was a little warmer for them.  They only get 2 breaks the whole year so they deserve everything to be just right when they do have the time off.
Callin loved hanging out with cousin Dalin
Alexis being saucy with Chandler
Callen loves making his funny faces
I had this great camera that takes the best pictures.  The boys had fun doing a
bunch of poses until we got the shot just right.
Tanner give me the thumbs up that his cast is still safe and dry.  I have to keep checking to make sure his arm still looks like a space alien.  If it does then I know it is working.
Rachel was a sweetheart.  She even gave Lexie a little piano lesson.  Alexis loved that!
She has been practicing what she learned from her "piano teacher".
Kaden really wanted a shot like the big boys
We went to the Harris' to swim and I tried to tell Kristen how much these boys eat.  She was nice enough to bring out chips and salsa and Popsicles.  I think she was a big shocked to see how fast they were inhaled.  I think I got a glimpse of the large amounts of food that these boys can put away.  Every breakfast I would make 4 times what I would make for my family and it was still gobbled up.  One of the guys apologized about how much food they ate but that he was hungry every 20 minutes.  It made me laugh because on a mini scale that is how my boys are and I know that our food bill will escalate as our boys get older.  If my boys will be as gracious as these boys were then it will make it all worth it.
When I was 15 my cousin Tagg started bringing his friends down from BYU for a weekend in San Diego.  It was literally life changing to have these great guys come down and it started a great tradition with a lot of my cousins.  I hope that when my kids are older they will bring their friends home so I won't miss them too much.  One of the major benefits of the visit it my kids are now die hard cougar fans and BYU bound.  That is always a good thing in my book!
