Tanner had a few of big milestones this year. He turned 8, was baptized and became a Wolf Scout. After going to all of the Pack Meetings to support his brother he couldn't wait to be a full-fledged scout. Plus the initiation was pretty cool.
First they bring him in on a pole - what boy wouldn't like that? Then they are initiated into the pack and they have to drink "buffalo blood" aka red Kool Aid. Then the Mom's get to paint their faces just like an Indian. Unfortunately they ran out of paint so we had to use magic markers. They assured me that they were washable. Tanner secretly hoped they would stay on forever.
Tanner's pack did a fun little skit. Having been a Cub Scout Leader
before I have a huge amount of appreciation for scout leaders.
The new scouts got to lead all the scouts in a cheer. Tanner had a blast
the whole night and is pretty pumped to finally be a scout!
