Trav isn't much of a camper and he has a bad back so every year for the Father and Son's camp out the boys have come home and slept at home. Every year without fail the boys beg to spend the night. So far the begging hasn't worked. This year I had a secret weapon up my sleeve....an air mattress. I found a great air mattress at Costco and viola! The boys had their first official complete Father and Sons camp out. They set up a tent, roasted marsh mellows and had a blast. Trav being the good Dad that he is let the boys sleep in the tent and he slept on the air mattress outside. They had pancakes in the morning and I think the long anticipation of the breakfast made them the best pancakes they had ever tasted. The boys said it was the best weekend ever. Trav even made it through with a bad back and all. Little by little hopefully this city girl can get the country boy to like camping so we can do it as a family.
One of my favorite parts of Father and Sons is we get to have a girls night. We went and got Subway, went to Taylor's game and then rounded the night off with Jamba Juice. All my girls favorite things. Yes, Natalie is included as one of my girls. Even Callen got to join in the fun with us. He was an honorary girl for the night. I opted for a Pinkberry instead of a Jamba.....then it was a perfect night.

Trav, it is go to hear you "man uped" and stayed over night. Ya know Kent has a bad back as well plus he is really OLD! He stayed over night for our father and sons last weekend too. I even gave him an out because of his back. We just loaded him up with cushions and he did the princess and the pea thing. Truly though Adam was the real champ. We didn't realize until he told Tonya that we sent him up unknowing that he was sleeping with our 3 sleep apnea shorers, YIKES! He was a true trooper.
