Kaden learned about the Revolutionary War this year. Along with some new heroes in his life he also learned a lot about muskets, gunpowder and Colonial life. They even did a Colonial Day at school. They went to a bunch of different classrooms and did something from that time period in each classroom. They made corn husk dolls, played Colonial board games, had cornbread and tea (water for any kids that didn't drink tea), learned to march and do military drills and played the popular outdoor games from that time period. If I were to make a guess I think Kaden liked the outdoor games and the marching the best. The kids all dressed up like they were from Colonial times and got a small glimpse into what it was like to live over 200 years ago.
