ALLIE'S VISIT

I can honestly say I highly recommend having kids young....not too young, but young enough to not need a a lot of sleep and be naive enough to think you are a fabulous mom. I have since learned that I have fabulous moments but on average I am just mom. I do things right some of the time and do things wrong a lot of the time but I am trying every moment and that is what counts......isn't it? The only problem with having kids young is that on my side of the family NO ONE and I mean no one is married with kids. Yes, it is sad - I know. On Trav's side he had one sister married so we had 3 other fabulous aunts and uncles who had no kids to spoil our kids. Then Scott and Mo got married and had kids and on Trav's side we were down to Allie being the only one without kids. As excited as I am for her to be a mom I love how much she adores my kids. Not that I want to neglect my side of the family because there are some GREAT Aunts and Uncles on my side, Jake, Jess, Kris, Trev, Josh and Natalie but Allie is our special aunt that comes and ViSiTs instead of just lives by us. Not only does she visit, but when she come she brings SILLY STRING! Being a great Aunt is pretty fab to the kids but you add some silly string into the equation and all of the sudden she is the BEST Aunt Allie ever. We always have fun when she comes out. It is amazing to me how no matter the length between visits, she just fits right in and we can all be ourselves. We just love her to pieces and wish she could visit more!

We took her to a fancy schmancy restaurant near our house....

We went shopping at Horton Plaza - note to self bring a winter jacket
because is was 60 degrees and it is an outdoor mall. BRRRRRR.......

I think Bath and Body thought we were a little strange. We stayed in
the storeforever trying to get warm and yes even taking pictures.
I have to admit I am atad bit embarrassed now
that I think about it but it was fun in the moment.
