DISNEY DAYS

We had winter break last week and Trav flew to Utah to go see the Celtics/JAZZ game.  Now normally he wouldn't fly for a game but through a friend he got some great seats 2 rows back from the team.  He was slightly pumped to say the least.  We were home all week by ourselves with no school and Kaden's birthday was on Wednesday so we decided to take off to Disneyland.  I sat down with the kids and we thought of some ways we could save some money so we could go and buy passes.  We decided not to go to Costco that week, we cleaned the house instead of having the cleaners come and we packed food for the park.  It was a great lesson for me and for the kids to work first and play second and made the trip much better because we earned it.  We found a super cheap hotel right by the park and met Ivory and Brodie's sister and her family at the park.  A shameless plug for Disneyland, this year you get in free on your birthday so we paid half price for Kaden's pass.  Thank you Disneyland!

2 years ago Travis came to Disneyland with us and realized that Kaden didn't like going on the scary rides.  We were going to get in line for space mountain and Kaden absolutely refused to go.  Trav started his bribery small - a cotton candy.  Kaden said - no.  Then Trav offered a toy.  Again, no.  By the end of it Travis said to Kaden that he could have anything he wanted in the whole park.  I meanwhile stood by gulping thinking of the pricey shops.  Luckily in my eyes Kaden's answer - NO.  So we all went on space mountain and Kaden waited at the end of the ride for us.  This year I told him that we would go to ESPN Zone for dinner on his birthday if he went on Space Mountain.  He immediately said yes and shocker of shocker, he went!  He was so brave and tough.  I think he had to be since Lexie was going too!

We all went on Space Mountain.  Yes, even little 4 year old Lexie.  She laid her head on me and when I mentioned it later she said that she wasn't scared during the ride, she was just tired.  :)

Phew - Disneyland sucess, we got to take a picture with and official Princess.

Got Milk?

I love how we all glow in the dark on the rides.

A family favoriite.  The kids favorite movie is still the Goofy Movie

We love California!

Kaden's favorite place at California Adventure, Brother Bear's treehouse

Tanner is my gutsy guy.  He went on California Screaming.  Teh ride that is the scariest and goes upside down.  He was a little nervous at the beginning as we shot off up the first hill but then he took it all in striede and asked to go again at the end.

WHAT A FUN TRIP! I am so ready to take my family to Disneyland again. It is my very favorite place to play! There is a dental convention in Anaheim in May... Maybe I could go and take the family... Two birds...one stone?
