Taylor's 5th grade graduation

I can't believe it! Taylor is old enough to graduate from 5th grade. I clearly remember sitting in church and watching the primary sacrament presentation and thinking it would be years before she was up there singing and here we are. Travis and I had an "aha" moment a while ago where we realized that our time with her is already half over. She is 11 and will be leaving home at 18. I know it sounds cliche, but HOW DID THIS HAPPEN? I remember the ultrasound when we found out she was a girl, picking her name, bringing her home from the hospital, her first steps, first dance recital, how she used to bring about 20 books to bed with her each night, her first day of school etc, etc, etc. Now I have a beautiful young girl on the brink of becomeing a young woman. As much as I miss the little Taylor I fall in love with the older Taylor each day. She is such a remarkable girl and she amazes me all the time. She is brave, caring, creative, organized (she even organizes junk drawers, book shelves, closets etc without being asked), a great student, amazing babysitter, wonderful artist and outstaniding pianist. It is so fun watching her grow up and I always wonder, will seh be like me or Travis or will she forge a whole new person for us to watch in awe. Her 5th grade graduatun was bitter sweet with wonderful heart bursting proud moments (when she got her diploma) to sad and nostalgic moments (when I realized I now have a 6th grader!). All in all it was a perfect day. NAtalie, Travis, Callen, my mom and I were there to cheer her on. She looked beautiful! She got a candy gram (creativity award goes to Jess), flowers and the grad gift she wanted the most.....school supplies. Yep, you heard it right. That was all she wanted! Didn't I tell you she is amazing!
