CELTICS FEVER

We've got it bad in our house. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the kids skinned their knees and bled green. We are TIVOing (is that a word?) the games and Kaden is collecting the cards. The boys wear their Celtic jerseys on game day and Kaden has even started a Celtics/Lakers rivalry 3 on 3 tournament at school. It's pretty cute! So far the real Celtics are up one game in the series. The boys in our house may not get a lot done in the next week. We are even indoctrinating Callen. Although I have to say he was born this way. We can't get him to crawl, but if you put a ball in his view he will do an awkward and painful army crawl to get to it. Kaden even asked if we could pray for the Celtics and I said I thought that was OK. I have to tell a quick Celtics story. First of all, I swear we are married because of a rainy afternoon, my cousin Craig and a Larry Bird video. I'll have to tell that story later but to put it mildly, Travis is a die hard Celtic fan and he was even when there was NO logical reason to still be a fan. He's true blue (or in this case, true GREEN). So much so that he actually DID bleed green on his ankle - or the tatoo artist did it for him in the Boston Celtic logo - yes on his ankle - pre-mission and yes he did cry. He is now supremely embarassed at the same time being quite proud of his little leprechaun that is his constant companion. Well, we were driving to church a few months ago (we also go regularly not just once every few months in case you were overly concerned for us after reading this post :)) and a car pulls in front of us and is body wrapped with the Oakland Raiders all over his car. Travis chuckles and says "what kind of idiot body wraps their car with their favorite team." I quickly give him my "you've got to be kidding me look" and dramatically said "yea can you imagine putting it on your CAR and not your body?" When her realized what he said we got a good chuckle. There are fans and then there are fans. :) GO CELTICS!
