Locks of Love

They did it!

Taylor and Natalie have been growing out their hair forever. We had talked about locks of love a few times but neither of them were very interested in cutting their hair. Then Kristin came home (she's at hair school in Idaho) and she started talking to them about it again. I was secretly torn. I LOVE their hair but I hate the daily maintenance. It was for such a good cause yet I really love Taylor's hair (when she lets me style it down). Finally Natalie decided she really wanted to do it and whatever Natalie does Taylor does too. So for FHE Kristin cut off 12 inches off Taylor and 11 inches off Nats. THEY DID IT! We documented it every step of the way. The girls look adorable with their shorter hair and the best part is Taylor can do her own hair! I still manage to do it most days just so it looks presentable but when we are in a pinch she can do it herself. I can't wait to see how our shampoo and conditioner consumption changes in the next few months! Taylor has loved talking about where her hair went to and I am sure the girls enjoyed the extra attention they received the next day. Then my mom sent the hair to locks of love to be given to little kids who have cancer. Go to www.locksoflove.com for more information.

That's awesome! I can't believe they were able to donate that much hair. Last time I saw them together I was thinking about how beautiful and shiny their long locks were! They are going to a great cause, nice work!!

That is so amazing! They both ahd such long hair! That was a brave thing for them to do. I have always wanted to do that, too. I've just never gotten my hair long enough.
